This training centers providers working with/are members of the LGBTQ+ community. EMDR was developed to assist individuals with trauma and distressing life experiences heal in powerful ways. Through the use of eye movement, EMDR targets negative cognitions, images, beliefs, and body feelings, accesses the left- and right-brain, and works to heal the impacts of trauma and distress. This type of therapy does not require the client to talk in-depth about these events!
This training is compliant with the EMDR International Association’s (EMDRIA) training requirements and participants will be able to utilize the continuing education credits toward EMDRIA certification.
