Join us April 18 and 20, 2020 for this year’s Opportunity Conference – Advancing LGBTQ & HIV Health Equity.
- Saturday, April 18 will focus on opportunities for members of the community to engage and learn about health equity issues. This portion of the conference will be held at Minneapolis Community and Technical College in Minneapolis, MN.
- Monday, April 20 will focus on education and discussion for service providers and professionals interested in earning continuing education credit. This portion of the conference will be held at the Earle Brown Heritage Center in Brooklyn Park, MN.
Community Day - new in 2020!
For the first time, we have added a community day which will allow for members of the LGBTQ community and people living with HIV or AIDS to participate in in workshops and breakout discussions on a variety of health equity topics.
This day of the conference offers policy makers, practitioners and service providers an opportunity to learn how to advance LGBTQ health equity from industry leaders through workshops and breakout discussions. The curriculum for this event is pending approval for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from the Minnesota Medical Association, in addition to Credit from the Minnesota Board of Social Work.
Registration for the conference will open after January 1, 2020.
