To minimize risks of the virus spreading during continued operations, JustUs Health is practicing the Three C’s of care:
We encourage our staff and clients to wash their hands frequently for at least 20 seconds. Hand washing is one of the best methods of risk-reduction for virus transmission. In addition, we have hand sanitizer dispensers and tissues available for client and staff use while in any of our locations (Territorial Road, University Avenue, Mainline Syringe Exchange and Duluth office). We are also increasing our efforts to keep common places (kitchens, shared desks, and conference rooms) clean with sanitizer and anti-bacterial cleaning products.
As of July 25, 2020, all Minnesotans must wear facemasks when inside public buildings and businesses. Facemasks play a critical role in slowing the spread of COVID-19. The CDC now recommends facemasks as "one of the most powerful weapons we have to slow and stop the spread of the virus—particularly when used universally within a community setting." If you're around others without masks, remember to sneeze or cough into your elbow and wash your hands and arms thoroughly.
You can also take some steps to contain the spread of the virus. Avoid close contact with people who are sick. If you are feeling sick yourself, call your health care provider’s nurse line for more information about what’s best for you. Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
We have advised our staff to stay home if they are able to work from home.
If you are sick, we recommend contacting your doctor’s office if you have symptoms of a cold, flu or COVID-19.
Most clients can receive services (except for our behavioral health clinic services) over the phone or online.
JustUs Health is adhering to the guidelines for social distancing as set forth by the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH).
MDH recommends postponing and canceling:
- Large events where 250 people or more would gather, including but not limited to:
- Professional, college, and school performances or sporting events.
- Smaller events (fewer than 250 people) that are held in crowded auditoriums, rooms, or other venues that do not allow social distancing of 6 feet per person.
- Events with more than 10 people where the majority of participants are at higher risk for severe illness from COVID-19, including gatherings such as those at:
- Retirement facilities.
- Assisted living facilities.
- Developmental homes.
- Support groups for people with health conditions.
