Status of Rainbow Health Services and Programs

In general, we ask our clients and partners to prioritize your health and healing. Our staff will continue to work remotely for the foreseeable future to maintain social distancing. We are able to provide our services through phone, fax, mail, email and online meeting tools throughout this time.

Behavioral Health

Our clinical staff are currently taking appointments and seeing clients. We are working to provide as much support as possible to our communities during this pandemic. Behavioral Health Services offers teletherapy options to all clients.  Tele-therapy can be accessed with a desktop computer, laptop, tablet, or smart phone. We will continue to enroll new clients in services. In the event of an emergency, call 9-1-1. If you are in need of immediate emotional support, please contact the Nation Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-6255.

Peer Support

HERR Day Out and PositiveLink support services are continuing regular support groups via online tools.

We are encouraging people at risk of severe COVID-19 illness to view our Who's at higher risk? page. We continue to monitor the situation to determine if cancellations to individual events need to occur and will be communicated to program members directly.

Minnesota AIDSLine

Service and hours of operation will not be impacted; all staff are able to respond remotely as needed to calls for information and support.

Transportation Services

We continue to coordinate transportation for clients using tools that allow our staff to work remotely as needed.

Our financial assistance staff are committed to finding solutions to ensure that clients can continue to receive the financial support they need.

Health Insurance and Benefits Counseling

Our benefits counselors and MNSure navigators have the flexibility of working with clients in-person or over the phone/via the internet. Clients who need help can contact our MNsure navigators at or 612-373-2466.

Mainline Syringe Exchange / HIV TESTING

We have suspended in-person HIV testing at our Territorial office, but will provide HIV testing at the syringe exchange during all regular hours for that location. Testing at this location will use Oraquick tests which provide clients with results in approximately 20 minutes.

Our housing staff can complete most work with clients over the phone or via the internet at remote locations.
